Angela Lago wearable nautical art - Freedom in form

"We look at the world once, in childhood. The rest is memory."
― Louise Glück, Vita Nova
Patience has never been my strongest suit — but I’ve learned its power.
Rushing steals the soul from a piece. It takes me away from what matters.
That’s why I create slowly — by hand, by feel — letting each piece find its own rhythm.
My jewelry isn’t just an object.
It’s a passage. A presence.
It connects. It stirs.
It holds emotion, memory, and something of the sea’s untamed truth.
In my Madrid studio — a marine refuge in the city — time slows down.
Every piece is shaped by my hands, one by one.
Unique or part of a limited series. Never the same. Never rushed.
They carry time. Weight. And essence.
A reminder of what’s real in a world always speeding past.
When you hold one, you’ll know:
It’s not just something to wear — it’s something to feel.
A quiet echo of your Ocean Soul.
If that speaks to you, it’s because you already know:
Some things are worth the wait.
The conversation continues in the pieces themselves

My sea way…
I was born by the Atlantic, in Vigo, on July 16th — the day of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, patron saint of sailors.
That date has always felt like more than coincidence. Almost like a signal.
Since childhood, I’ve admired sailors — their solitude, their strength, their quiet bond with nature.
They embodied authenticity and freedom, long before I knew how to name those values.
That silent force shaped me deeply.
My path hasn’t been straight.
I studied law. Completed a Master’s in Intellectual Property.
Explored theater, photography, and curated artists through Just the Sea.
And then, jewelry found me.
It became a natural language for the sea I carry within — playful, raw, instinctive. Like a child at play.
When my son was born, I chose to live with coherence.
To become what I wanted to pass on. That’s when the journey became conscious — when art and ocean finally fused.
Every detour brought me here — to this quiet, intentional place I now call home.
This is where I create my own sea —
a marine universe shaped by hand, by instinct, by memory.
A reflection of how I feel. And how I see the world.
Each piece is a bridge — between soul and sea.
I call it Life.
Echoes in the Media
Forbes Spain’s Nautik Magazine featured my work in “Llevar el océano en la muñeca” “Llevar el océano en la muñeca” (Wear the Ocean on Your Wrist).
Other voices — Faro de Vigo, La Voz de Galicia, El Español — have picked up the signal.
