This post wasn’t planned, but it’s coming straight from the heart. And honestly, it feels freeing.
I was going to show you a new piece, maybe launch a preorder… but I’m putting that off for now.
Instead, I want to share something personal. You might not care much, and that’s totally fine — but I feel like saying it anyway. As Paco Umbral, a famous Spanish writer, once said on TV back in the early ’90s (when I still watched a bit of TV):
"I came here to talk about my book."
Well, here I am, saying this: I’m almost stepping away from social media. I’ll keep it as a simple showcase, but don’t expect interaction or constant presence.
If you want to connect with me, send me an email instead.
I was never a big fan of social media, but there I was—like so many others—somehow hooked, caught in all that noise, because “you had to be there.”
Sure, for a while—long ago—it felt more manageable. I was even given the chance to discover people doing truly interesting things, people I shared interests with. Some of them ended up becoming good friends.
But over time, it’s turned into something I find almost unbearable. Whatever good it once had—at least for me—is gone. Between aggressive ads, digital clones, and 21st-century zombies, every time I logged in, I felt an energy drain, a kind of heaviness I no longer want anywhere near me.
Because yes, it pulls you in.
And the only way out is with determination and an iron will.
Tried it. I’m stepping back... just a little now and then. Feeling a bit freer every day.
My everyday jewels and my automatic watch.
Lived. Imperfect. Real.
The place — and the way — I want to live.
If you want to keep up with my work — the jewelry, the sculptures I’m working on — this is the place: my newsletter.
And also on my website and in real places, where we can meet, touch and feel.
I’ll be doing exhibitions and special meet-ups a few times a year,
and I’ll share all of them here.
I’m creating new pieces with a marine language, around all of this: freedom, the real, the fake, the new reality…
And everything real takes time, everything its "own time.”
That’s where things with soul are born.
You can always find my pieces on my website—no noise, no rush, at your own pace. And in a handful of carefully chosen places, which I’ll be sharing here as well.
P.S. For subscribers only, there’s currently a special sale running.
If you’re not on the list yet… well, you know what to do.
Nothing more. Nothing less.
